Terms

Terms for using Ink.

Ink is a writing tool in the Ink Suite, not a publisher or professional adviser. You remain in control of the work, sources, providers, and accounts you connect.

Last updated July 18, 2026

Your work

You retain ownership of notes, documents, sources, and other material you create or import. You are responsible for having the rights needed to use that material and for keeping an independent export of work you cannot afford to lose.

Acceptable use

Do not use Ink to violate the law, another person's rights, or the security of a device or service. Do not use connected AI, sync, clipping, or import features to access material you are not authorized to use.

Connected services and AI

iCloud, AI providers, and any other service you choose to connect are operated by their respective providers and governed by their terms. AI output can be incomplete or wrong. Review generated text, citations, and factual claims before relying on or publishing them. Ink is not legal, medical, financial, or academic-integrity advice.

Availability and updates

Features may change as Ink and Ink Suite are improved. We may provide updates needed for security, compatibility, or reliability. Connected features can be unavailable because of device, network, account, operating-system, or third-party service conditions.

Warranty and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Ink is provided without guarantees that every feature will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded. Before deleting the app, changing sync accounts, or repairing a device, export and verify important work.
